Our client, a health and beauty care retailer, had introduced every-day-low-pricing. In order to support this new pricing strategy, our client needed to rapidly obtain the commercial backing of its main suppliers through a fundamental review of trade terms.
Mission.
We were asked to develop and execute a pragmatic purchasing approach to obtain the best possible terms from suppliers based on a combination of consumer-centric and profit driven analysis.
Results.
Our structured approach to the purchasing analysis, negotiation preparation, tactics and execution enabled our client to reduce his COGS by on average 2,4% of sales for the categories involved.
